Parents of driver ed. students will be required to
attend a 2 hour training session to assist their teen
in becoming a more responsible driver. If the teen
obtains their learner’s permit after September 1,
2007, one parent will be required to attend a
parents’ night at the same driving school that their
son/daughter will be taking their driving lessons.
The purpose of the parents’ night is to both inform
the parent about the recent changes concerning
driving and to give them assistance in what they
need to know to help their new teen driver. The
jump from 12 hours to 40 hours of parental
supervision for driving will present some problems.

Parents will need to know how to deal with many
more advanced traffic situations. The driving
instructor will be able to answer most (hopefully
all) of the parental questions.

At DTC, parents night will be held from 7:30-
9:30 p.m. on specific weeknights. The session will
be held on an on demand basis. It is expected at
first to be held only every other month. As demand
increases, frequency of sessions will increase.

Mr. Michael Towle, the DTC owner, will be the
instructor for parents’ night. Mr. Towle has 35
years of experience in teaching driver education.
He has Master’s degrees in both secondary
education and public administration. He is a former
president of the Professional Driver Education
Association of MA and was appointed by a former
governor to be on the Governor’s Highway Safety
Bureau.

Parents will be required to register in advance for
parents’ night. There will be a charge of $39 for the
evening. Parents that do not give 48 hours of
cancellation will be charged. Visa, Mastercard or
personal check may be used for payment.

Registration may be done by either giving a check
to the teen when he/she attends class or calling
DTC between 2-5 pm weekdays at (508) 528-9510
or (781) 762-5500 with credit card info. Sorry, we
do not take debit cards at this time.
